Hip, Hip, Hello,

And hip, hip, hooray!  We just wanted to share some exciting news and let yawl know about some rapidly approaching parties. 

TapWater was recently recognized for our involvement in the film “Dream Result,” after being commissioned to record the theme song last year.  The film (which features the world record waterfall decent of 186 Palouse Falls) has garnered attention from media giants like National Geographic, Sports Illustrated and CNN and has earned awards internationally, including 1st place at the Rosenheim Film Festival in Germany and the People’s Choice Award at the Banff Mountain Film Festival in Canada.  Most recently, Dream Result earned Best Original Score at the X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival in Park City, Utah (considered the Academy Awards of the Action Sports Industry). TapWater recently finished recording the theme song to “Frontier,” the latest film by Rush Sturges of River Roots Productions.  The song features Sturges on vocals and was produced by Steve Berlin of Los Lobos.  Wanna come hear us play it live…?

We will be appearing in support of “Frontier” in Bend this Thursday at the Silver Moon Brewery and in Portland this Saturday at the Mt. Tabor Theater.  Both shows will feature the film at 8pm, a set by the Nor-Cal based band The Forest at 9pm, followed by TapWater at 10pm.  We hope to see you there and thanks for reading.  Our apologies to our fans in Seattle - we recently had to cancel our plans to play this Friday but the film will still show at the KAVU Headquarters.  Check out the film trailer below.

Hi Everybody!

We hope this finds you well and warm. It’s been a long time since you’ve seen or heard from us. No, we have not dropped off the face of the Earth, as interesting as that sounds. We have actually been hard at work. We are pleased to announce some pleasing announcements.

We are finally wrapping up an incredible experience recording our latest full length record. We had the great fortune of working with some amazing people on this project, including our engineer Justin Phelps, our vocal producer Jans Ingber, our producer, Steve Berlin, and many more. Steve Berlin has been a member of Los Lobos for 27 years now and has won 7 out of the 10 Grammy’s he has been nominated for! Needless to say, we were absolutely overjoyed to have him so invested in this endeavor. We have just released three of those songs on our brand new website. We will release the full record on May 14th, which features special guest performances by members of War, James Browns’ Band, The Motet, Los Lobos and many more. In other news, we will be playing this Friday night, March 11, with The Jerry Garcia Band featuring Melvin Seals at the Bossanova Ballroom in Portland. The doors open at 7:30 and the show costs $18 in advance. Steve Berlin will be joining us on stage for a very special set. We are also playing this Saturday, March 12th, from 5 to 7 at the Double Mountain Brewery Annual Block Party in Hood River. It has been over three and a half months since we last gigged. Please join us for one of these special homecoming shows. For those of you who don't live near Portland, worry not - we will be hitting the road soon.
